Misty is a Registered Nurse that has been practicing for 17 years. Helping people to heal has always been a passion of hers. As an empath, she has always been a highly sensitive person, and this has both been a blessing and a challenge at times. At the age of 5, she went through a life altering medical event that changed her view of the world forever. From that moment on she has always known that there is much more to our existence than many realize. Throughout her life and professional practice in western medicine, she has always believed in the benefits of coupling western medicine with eastern medicine.  She began introducing yoga and meditation into her personal life. The benefits were evident, but she always felt there must be something more. After a family tragedy that left her struggling with debilitating depression and anxiety, she found Reiki. Honestly, she believes Reiki found her. Her daughter saw the extent of her challenges and recommended a Reiki Practitioner/Energy Healer. She had heard of Reiki but didn't really know what to expect. At the end of her first session and in the days to follow, she experienced a calm and peace that she had never known before. She realized that this was the key to everything she had been searching for. It was at this time that she realized her true calling and knew that she had to become a Reiki Practitioner and Reiki Master so that she could share this transformative healing modality with the world.
